Sergio’s fight against cancer

Sergio D. Martinez is a 17-year-old full of laughter and life who was just enjoying his summer before his senior year of High-School. Sergio was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer from one day to the next and his/our world will forever be changed. Sergio had a small lump on his chest and was told everything was ok and the Dr would follow up in a month. A couple weeks later Sergio woke up having difficulty breathing and was rushed to the Emergency Room. Shortly after he was transported to DHR and was diagnosed with a Germ cell Tumor in his chest area. The tumor was so big it had pushed his Heart to the far left and was blocking his arteries causing swelling in Sergio’s body and liquid in his lungs. Dr.’s did not think Sergio would live more than a week without starting Chemotherapy. Sergio has faced more difficulties with his tumor continuing to grow and Dr’s having no other choice than to do radiation although they stated, “It could possibly kill him”. Sergio has undergone three sessions of radiation and is on around the clock Chemotherapy. My family and I ask for your continued help, support,  and PRAYERS.
