Seren's Dream

On 18th December 2018 a very special girl in my life was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Her name is Seren and she is 6 years of age. Seren started her treatment straight away and was an inpatient at Birmingham Children’s Hospital over Christmas and has been a very strong and courageous little girl throughout the grueling Chemotherapy that she is still undergoing. Her only thought has been to say thank you to the people who are helping her every day (Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Beads of courage, Little Princess trust and many more) Seren asked her mommy if she could give “big cheques to people like they do on TV” so they started their journey with fundraising. There have been many things organised to raise money for Seren’s charities and I also wanted to do something to help her give out one of those big cheques. With this in mind I will be doing a sponsored “Treadathon” on 17th February 19 at the Lea Marston Hotel.  I will be walking the distance of a Marathon (26.2 miles) on a Treadmill in one go.  Those who know me will know that this will be a huge challenge, but one I am determined to do to help Seren. If she can smile though everything she is going through on a daily basis, I can get through 1 day and achieve this!!!
