Sensory Circus Tour!

Donation protected
FEEL Theatre is formed of experienced facilitators, performers, theatre-makers and artists that have a passion for creating sensory stories, shows and experiences for and with young people with Profound and Multiple Disabilities (PMLD) and Special Educational Need and Disabilities (SEND).

Our work involves running drama, craft and sensory play workshops with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities. We also create shows focusing on the sensory elements of storytelling. We were commissioned by artsdepot, to perform 'Sensory Circus' as part of 'TogetherFest' in June ‘17 and have had continued support from Kerry Andrews. The performance at artsdepot was met with a fantastic reaction from audience members. After this, we were contacted by Theatre Royal Stratford East (TRSE) and were invited to have a 2 week run of Sensory Circus, as an alternative to the Christmas Panto in December ‘17. Sensory Circus at TRSE was met with an incredible audience response with demand for us to tour the show to more venues.

We are touring Sensory Circus to 2 more venues later this year (which will be announced soon!) and are raising this money to fund the marketing costs for posters and flyers for the production.

"Blast off into space with Neo, our little alien puppet and discover the magical wonders of planet circus. Sensory Circus is a UV and LED glow performance combining circus and puppetry, followed by a sensory play session."

Created for children and young people with PMLD, Sensory Circus aims to help develop visual perception, tracking, concentration and focus. A different and fun type of theatre where the young people can get involved too. We also provide non-toxic glow sticks for our audience members to have throughout the performance and keep to take home.

Sensory Circus is also suited to individuals:

- With Sensory Processing Disorder

- On the Autistic spectrum, who have under-sensitive sensory processing.

Running time: 1 hour.

30-minute UV and LED glow performance followed by a 30-minute sensory play session.
