Filmmaking Masterclass in London

Thank you for taking a moment out of your busy day to check out this GoFundMe campaign. An amazing filmmaker by the name of Philip Bloom is holding a filmmaking masterclass in Surrey, UK (just outside of London) at the end of October. Philip Bloom has been an idol of mine for several years. The productions he has been a part of have been mindblowing and have been true inspirations for me in pursusing my career in filmmaking. Philip just recently spent this past year traveling the world with Bill Weir from CNN filming their original series "The Wonderlist". This GoFundMe campaign is an attempt to raise enough funds to cover airfare and the cost of the workshop. Roundtrip airfare from Detroit to London Heathrow is currently $1,336 via Delta, and the 3-day workshop fee is $1,738.32 as of the current GBP to USD exchange rates on September 29th. Those two amounts equal just a little over $3,000 when added together. Anything extra I raise will go towards my hotel stay (likely to be about an extra $400) and travel to and from the airport (roughly $100). Anything raised above and beyond this amount will be appreciated and go towards purchasing new equipment and taking my productions to a whole new level of quality.
*EDIT* I bumped up the goal to $3,500 on October 5th due to the overwhelming support and donations supposed to come in by the end of this weekend! The extra $500 will cover my hotel stay and transportation to/from London Heathrow airpot and the hotel (about 35 miles each way)

I was on the fence on whether or not I should request money in this fashion, but I truly believe that the 3-days of instruction I recieve from this masterclass will help bring my productions to a whole new level of quality.
