Hello, my name is Eric and my family and I are raising funds for my father's funeral and burial expenses.
Our story started on July 30th. My father was admitted to the hospital for atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure, with hopes of coming home the following day. Two weeks later he was still hospitalized. Unfortunately, things took and abrupt turn for the worse when complications arose, including internal bleeding, gastrointestinal surgery, a return of the abnormal heart rhythm, and a subsequent cardiac arrest. He was revived, but was on a device to assist with is breathing. After many attempts to get him breathing independently, he was off and on the breathing machine. He was also placed on dialysis, and a feeding tube. After a few episodes of improvement, he was ultimately back on the breathing machine and his health began to decline. His hard fought battle ended on September 5, 2018 at 1:00pm.
Although my father had life insurance, it wasn't due to mature until 6 months from now! Given that this was completely unforeseen, provisions had not been made otherwise. His wife, my mother, is Social Security dependent so supplemental funds are not there. We are now in need of financial help for my father's final resting expenses.
Our father/husband/grandfather meant the world to us and he deserves to be put to rest in the way he wanted. He wanted to return home to be buried with his mother-in-law and father-in-law, in Salisbury, NY. Any amount of help is more than appreciated.
