Send Turnbull a Spine
August 13 marks the 13th anniversary of the Marriage Amendment Act rushed through Parliament by the Howard Government in 2004.
That Act specifically outlawed same sex marriage in Australia and, as we know, despite Australians being in favour of marriage equality for over a decade the Parliament has been unable to deliver it ever since.
So DIY Rainbow along with CAAH (Community Action Against Homophobia) have decided we need to deliver something to our Prime Minister that he desperately needs on this anniversary - A SPINE!
Yep, with your help, we're going to build a ginormous LGBTQI friendly Turnbull Spine in Sydney and send it on it's merry way on Sunday 13 August to Canberra! The plan is to have have farewell drinks from the front bar at the Imperial Hotel (photos with Spine!) and then send Spine in several cars along to Canberra to be presented to Parliament House Monday morning.
We are fundraising for costs only.

We thank you for your support and hopes this action adds pressure on Malcolm Turnbull who despite being a supporter of Marriage Equality has stood in it's way for his entire term as Prime Minister.
