Send Tim to Ireland to Treat Tinnitus

Imagine for a moment that you are standing near train tracks, a train is barreling down the tracks and then all of a sudden the train slams on its brakes and all you can hear is the loud screeching of the wheels sliding along the rails. Now imagine that sound inside of your own head for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and for the past 30 years. This is what I have been suffering with for all of my adult life. I suffer from Tinnitus which is the perception of noises in the head and/or ear which have no external source. It derives from the latin word for ringing and those living with the condition may have to endure a ringing, buzzing, hissing, whistling or other noise. The sensation can be constant or intermittent and it can vary in volume.

I am on the far spectrum of this disease suffering constant loud screeching noises in my head. It can cause pain, anxiety, trouble making simple decisions, inability to concentrate, memory loss and even causes trouble forming new memories. It has had a dramatic impact on my quality of life. I first got Tinnitus at the age of 19 after attending a loud concert. It started as a light ringing in the ears. But got steadily worse over the past 30 years. By the mid-1990s it was already unmanageable and difficult to cope with. It’s been a difficult, severe problem for most of the time that I’ve had it.

For you, if you hear a loud, annoying, or constant noise you have the ability to turn it down, leave the room, or simply just walk away from it. No matter where I go or what I do the noise is within me 100% of the time. This condition has cost me jobs, friendships, and relationships. Many who suffer from this also suffer self harm and often suicide as a release or a way to be rid of this.

I am not without hope and this is where I invite you to help make an incredible difference in my life, to give me relief, and to live a normal and healthy life. There is a treatment that will give me the relief that I so incredibly desire. There is a new treatment that just came out in Europe that will not be available in America for some time. They are working on FDA approval, but unfortunately it takes a lot of time to get something like this approved.

The treatment is a device called Lenire and it’s by a company called Neuromod. It’s been tested on a large pool of subjects with severe tinnitus. And the results have been astounding. A great many have already been helped by this technique in medical trials. For the first time people are experiencing relief from this condition with effective treatment that has never been available before.

I need help funding my trip to Ireland and purchasing the device. I will need to stay in Ireland for a few weeks to have the device adjusted for best response. I then have to make two more trips to Ireland over the following 6 months for them to make adjustments to the device for the best and optimal results.

This treatment will have a major impact on my quality of life and my ability to enjoy it. All I want is to live my life the way it was supposed to be: to enjoy it and live it the the fullest.
