Send physio volunteers to Africa

We are Physiotherapy students studying at Sheffield Hallam University, we graduate in Summer 2018.
We are travelling to Africa in Autumn 2018 for 6months+. We are going to volunteer with several physiotherapy specific charities that work with disabled children, or in rural communities in Cameroon and Uganda offering healthcare and other services.
These charities include Nicky’s Foundation and Kyaninga Child Development Centre and others we have yet to confirm.
We are both very passionate about what these charities represent and are working towards.
Our trip will consist of travelling to Cameroon and volunteering here for several months, before making our way over to Uganda to continue with our charity work.
We will be travelling and exploring throughout the duration of our trip, this includes independently planning, fundraising and coordinating all our own transport, accommodation, equipment, healthcare and opportunities.
This trip will offer invaluable personal and professional development that we will not be able to gain from anywhere else. We feel that this will be a journey of a lifetime which will give us amazing insight into completely different cultures, healthcare systems and perceptions of life. It will be an extremely rewarding and fulfilling experience, in which we can utilise our skills and training which will be appreciated by all recipients.
We have already started actively fundraising for our trip, our aim is to raise £4,500-£5,000 each to fund our flights, living costs, vaccinations, kit and any other expenses through work, sponships, fundraising and this website.
Therefore, we would be extremely grateful for any contributions in order to achieve our aim, to help improve the lives of children with disabilities and thier families in Africa.
