Send NHS Theatre Troupe to ITF

We are excited to announce that Northwestern High School Theatre Troupe #3924 for the first time in school history placed first at the 2018 Indiana Thespians State Conference and have been selected as the Indiana Chapter Select! As the Indiana Chapter Select, Northwestern has been selected to represent the state of Indiana by attending the International Thespian Festival June 25th - 30th in Lincoln, Nebraska. International Thespian Festival brings together exceptional high school performers and teachers from around the world!
Our theatre students, have the opportunity to study under master playwrights, work with other elite thespians, and perform at the University of Nebraska. We spend a week together attending workshops, studying under the direction of renowned directors, performing, and meeting fellow thespians from all over the world!
Students and teachers can select from hundreds of rigorous and engaging workshops taught by experts in their field. Topics include acting and performing, lighting, sets, sound, makeup, costume design and construction, directing, stage management, dance, and playwriting. More specialized subjects may include puppetry, stage combat, commedia dell’arte, and more.
In order to take part in this opportunity, we as a theatre group need to raise money for the registration fee ($790/ delegate) and transportation cost to Nebraska. We are accepting donations to help send OUR TROUPE to ITF! Any donation amount no matter the size adds up and would bring us that much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
