Meadow Kouffeld is a lifelong hunter and angler, wildlife biologist, educator, and active advocate for the future of hunting and outdoor sports. She has worked in her professional career as well as personal life to recruit new hunters, educate the public, provide positive media coverage for women in the outdoors, and stay involved at multiple levels of conservation organizations as well as state and federal agencies.

This year Meadow applied for the Extreme Huntress 2019 competition and was selected as one of the top 20 semifinalists and recently was selected in the top four finalists (only one of two from America). Coincidentally this year Meadow decided she needed to focus more on family and accepted a teaching and coordinating position at Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, MN back in January! This was a conscious decision made in favor of family and health. The trade off? This will be the first summer since she was 17 years of age that she will not be able to bring in a regular paycheck during the summer! You can't plan on an opportunity like this! She needs your help to get there to continue to build her platform and the momentum for recruiting women interested in the outdoors and hunting. (Check Out the Extreme Huntress Page )

Meadow needs to get down to San Antonio and Dallas Texas as well as make several short road trips to work with people more experienced in different aspects of firearms.  Additional expenses include equipment, ammunition and supplies as listed below. Meadow will need approximately $1,546.50 (previous amount before donations and re-assessment: $2,533.00) in support to accomplish these goals and make the trip to represent the upper Midwest, North America, and outdoors men and women from around the world.

Any funds raised beyond $1,546.50 will be split and donated to the Grand Rapids Gun Club (shotgun) and Itasca Gun Club (rifle/pistol), both located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. These clubs are the stronghold of our shooting sports communities here in Northern Minnesota and provide opportunity for new shooters to find mentors and support in entering the sport. These funds can then be used as match dollars for grant applications to help maximize the return on your donation.

There is a fun shoot being planned for a send off for Meadow near the end of July 2018 so that the shooting community can enjoy some time together and get a chance to either meet or reconnect with Meadow before she heads down to Texas to represent! As always, she will be sharing experiences throughout this journey through various media outlets. STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES.

Hi Everyone! I leave for Texas in 8 days and think I have everything lined out for the most part. There have been others that have stepped up to help reduce costs during my journey to prepare for Extreme Huntress 2019 including Vortex Optics (it ended up being the cost of gas and food, I slept in my truck one night). I will be closing down my GoFundMe and want everyone to know how much I appreciate the support!

THANK YOU! I have reached $1,000.00 in my GoFundMe campaign! I can't express how humbled I am by your support! I will be making some updates to the budget soon and be reminded that what I don't end up needing (e.g. I find another source to pay for certain things) I will be updating my budget and donating what I don't end up needing to the local gun ranges (there are two at the heart of shooting sports here in the Grand Rapids Area). Any amount helps and know that if I don't end up needing it the funds will go to the local community to support our gun ranges. I can't believe how generous folks have been and it really reassures me that other people believe in what I do to represent and recruit sports women and men to hunt and fish!

Hey Supporters! I just booked my airfare to San Antonio and it was less than expected (not $500 but $376.00)! I have included the actual number and will adjust the goal accordingly!
