Send Damien to Ric Flair's House

The 16-time World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair invited me to his home in Atlanta, GA to spend a day with him profiling his life since retiring from the WWE for Complex Sports. Here is the plan:
1. After conducting initial audio interviews, I pitched a more enhanced profile of Flair, complete with a full video/photo shoot and an in-person interview from me. He unexpectedly was all about it. Now I have to do it.
2. Flair is starting a podcast about general sports called “Listen to the Man” where he will be joined by various athletes and entertainers. I hope to get some residual experience with whom ever he is interviewing that day as I tag along with the “Nature Boy.”
3. I’ll be flying to Atlanta from California to conduct the interviews and must buy the tickets at a moments notice as Flair’s schedule opens up.
I am hoping to raise $600-$800 to cover the plane ticket that may be increased because of the last minute purchase and hotel stay for three days. I work freelance for Complex Sports, sought out the interview independently, and decided to make this opportunity for myself. This also means I don't get paid for it until long after the piece and written and published.
As a journalist and era-spanning wrestling fan, this would be the realization of a goal I set for myself as a fourth-grader when I used to watch the WWF with a dictionary so that I could understand their hyperbolic broadcasting style. I’d love to tell this story.
