Send Me to Leadership Institute

I am a student at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY and appointed as a student pastor to Shiloh UMC in Stanton, KY. I have been in pastoral ministry since 2012 and am constantly seeking to learn more about being the leader that God has called me to be. While seminary is great at teaching many things - and I do believe that I am receiving a world-class theological education - there are some lessons that simply can not be learned in a seminary classroom.

I am asking for your assistance to attend the Leadership Institute at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in the Kansas City, KS area in September. This conference is, as the name suggests, to help persons become better leaders within their congregations. I have heard from several people who have attended and they all highly recommend this as a way to develop leadership skills. If you follow the link above, you will see that there are many sessions within the conference which will aid be in becoming a better leader and adding to my skillset as a pastor.

The money raised will be used to pay for airfare, conference registration, hotel, and other expenses associated with attending the Leadership Institute. Any money raised beyond my goal or left over after the conference will go toward my immediate seminary expenses and student loan debt.
