Send LaQuez to FCCLA Conference in California

There's a young man at Talladega High School named Laquez Weed, who has qualified to represent Alabama and Talladega at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in STAR events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) He will be competing in Life Event Planning. This conference is in Anaheim, California June 29- July 5th. Registration is due by June 17th and the hotel is due 10 days prior to arrival, so both are due by June 17th. The total cost of the trip is going to be close to $4000  for registration, air fare, hotels, and food. Laquez is the only student from Talladega City who will be competing at the National level. His mom has been selling dinner plates and has earned $600, but he will need at least $3200 more. I had the pleasure of teaching Laquez for six months this year at THS.  He is a  very motivated and fine young man.  All of Talladega would be proud to have him represent our High School and our town.  Please help us with this in this short amount of time.
