Send Isaac to the US Chess Championship!

Meet Isaac Snow.

He is 14 years old and the 2019 State of Alabama Chess Champion. He won the state tournament March 2 and is the nominee to represent the State of Alabama at the US tournament in August. That tournament is a prestigious honor. Every state sends their best player to compete. One a year. They earn it by winning their state on their own merit and games, not as a team.

He will be spending 2 weeks in Orlando in August. He’ll be representing Alabama in the Denker tournament and then playing in the US open.

We are currently fundraising to get him there.

He is 14 and played chess since he was 8. He trained so hard for this and earned the title on his own. He’s dedicated hours upon hours, worked tactics, studied with an international master coach, and put year and years into learning and growing himself to better learn the game. 

He is currently the Alabama state champion of the quick game. He ranked 7th in the nation, for Jr high k-9, For blitz games.  He is currently number 25 in the State of Alabama. He is 40 rating points from being titled an expert in chess.

Won’t you help get him to Orlando? We are most certainly taking on more work to get him there, but we can’t do it alone!!

Here are the fees associated with competing:

$2800 for lodging for 14 nights with fees and taxes
$600 transportation there for Isaac and a parent 
$600 food for 2 weeks.
$1500 coache fees
$400 tournament fees to play 

We have many fundraisers coming up, but so many have expressed they’d rather donate than buy something they don’t need! We get that!!

We  would prefer all gifts to be sent with Venmo because there is no fee, but we are truly grateful that you are helping this teen boy fulfill something he has spent years training for!
