Every year, high school students converge in a city in the world to take part in a battle of wits and intelligence at the Worlds Schools Debate Championships representing their countries. This championship is the ultimate platform of learning and engagement for young people to address issues pertaining not only to their own countries, but that of the world at large. This opportunity provided to young people is a prestigious one and students that have taken part in it have historically gone ahead to be successful leaders.
The culture of structured debating is at the developing stage in Ghana and a special appreciation goes to the individuals and organizations who have helped in their own way to help it grow. Sadly, Ghana has never been represented at any of the annual world schools debate championships. This will be the 30th time!
We plan to change that by taking part in this year's edition in Croatia from 17th - 27th July. The team has already started preparatory training but we will need your help to make it to Croatia. Your support will directly go into flight tickets and the competition registration fees.
This tournament is so important and crucial in the development of debate and encouraging critical thinking and civil engagement in the Ghanaian youth. This is extremely necessary in the development of our next generation of leaders. Help Ghana debut in the World Schools Debate and be an active contributor to the success that our young students achieve!!
