Semso's Cancer Fight

Semso Delahmet is a husband, father, grandfather, friend and co-worker. Those of us that are fortunate to know Semso know that he is one of the hardest working people we know and for many years worked more than one job. Semso always puts family first and enjoys being around others and making them laugh! His youngest son recently graduated college and Semso made the comment to Senida, that now they could slow down, work only one job and start enjoying life more, but as we all know, life isn't fair at times!

Last October Semso started to experience a cough that just wouldn't go away. Senida and Semso visited several doctors in the Des Moines area and even Iowa City over the course of several months. The doctor's couldn't offer much insight to what was happening or even why it was happening, but Semso dealt with it the best he could and remained positive. Since October, he has lost an unbelievable amount of weight and started to become very weak. On June 8th he was admitted to the hospital and on June 5th he was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and it is starting to spread to the lungs. June 8th Semso started his first round of chemo.

Semso has a big fight a head of him and he needs to focus on this fight and not worry about the financial side of life. Sometimes people aren't sure how to help in times like this, but here is the answer: contribute any amount, no matter how small to help Semso and his family stay focused on Semso's treatment. We all want him to be free of the financial worry, because he is the type of man who wants to be working to better his families life.
