Selling Soap to help My Mom!

Donation protected
This past summer, my mom had a stroke. During the MRI they discovered she had an aneurysm. My mom had brain surgery on December 2nd to clip the aneurysm.

Unfortunately because of the type and location of the aneurysm, they needed to cut open her head to operate. She would need at least 4 weeks of help, as she couldn't bend over, drive, work or lift anything or for 4-6 weeks. I'm only child, and she's single, so my husband and I flew into Atlanta on a tiny budget (made it to Atlanta with round trip tickets for both of us for under $1,000. Thank God for companion tickets, lots of sky miles from Delta, the Hopper App, and cheap one ways from L.A to Atlanta on Spirit). She was released from Grady on December 5th, she was stable and healing well.

On January 9th my mom was shopping and got suddenly very ill. She rushed home and asked her roommate to take her to the ER. Once she arrives she finds out she no longer has health insurance. She couldn't afford to pay her insurance for the month of January, but they admit her anyways because she was so sick.

They admit her for the week, they give her a blood transfusion because of a low red blood cell count, but recommend she follows up with a gastroenterologist to exam her small intestine to ensure there is no internal bleeding because they found blood in her stool, but no internal bleeding in her large intestine, they were not able to do the endoscopy on the small intestine, but recommend that she follows up with a gastroenterologist asap.

Because of her surgery, no insurance, and being so sick the past two months, we really need help financially to cover her basic living expenses for this month, and to get the test done on her small intestine that will cost around $500.

We have given my mom every extra cent we have and so I am humbly asking for a donation to help us. I have a lot of pride and do not like asking for help, but at this point I am desperate to help save my mom. Her hospital bills are through the roof, I cant even imagine what last weeks stay in the hospital will cost, especially since she has no insurance.

But I’m trying to raise funds to help us catch up on her bills post surgery and to insure that she can see the gastroenterologist to complete the tests she needs to make sure she's still not losing blood.

I am humbly asking for donations because at this point I don't know what else to do. If you cannot donate, I completely understand and hope you are willing to share our story. Thank you in advance for any help.

**If you are able to donate 10$ or more, we will send you a bar of all-natural organic hand made soap that we make for every 10$ that you can donate as an appreciation gift for your help!!**

**Please note: no, she does not qualify for Social Security, she is 58. Also, some have asked why she doesnt go on welfare. She has a job where she works on straight commisions as a loan officer. We believe its best for her to keep working and not go on government assistance, she wants to work, we've just unfortunantely had these health set backs. Thank you!
