Self-Sufficiency for Autistic kids

My name is Eirik Toft.

Like so many other parents out there, I have a child on the Autism Spectrum. One of the biggest fears we as parents of kids on the spectrum, is who will take care of our children when we are gone. The truth is, no one, and that scares me to death. I realized how important it is for these kids to develop and maintain a marketable skill to maintain gainful employment.

My son has shown amazing aptitude in repairing applicances and electronics. He has even taught a few of his friends. I decided to setup a small area for them to fix appliances, unfortunately this space I have just isn't good enough.

I plan to use the money raised here to setup a more permanent base of operations for these young adults, It will be used to establish a space for them to work, recruit some staff to work with them, and setup some reserves to pay the kids a living wage until we are able to make it a self-sufficient business. 

Please, give our kids a chance in life.
