THE PERFECT STORM........
It's what happens when careful planning encounters catastrophic illness and it happened to me and my family. I am in imminent danger of becoming homeless at the end of the month due to caring for an aging parent with dementia and because I've exhausted my savings to place him in a long-term facility.
I am asking for funds for rent arrears and a couple of months expenses until I secure a full-time job and get back on my feet. The thought of a personal gofundme would have mortified me just a few months ago, but I've been humbled by my circumstances and the realization that this could happen to anyone. No one expects to live 15+ years after retirement, deal with an illness like dementia, or liquidate all their assets for healthcare - at least no one in my parent's generation.
Please help me to weather this storm and remain in my home. If you know of anyone who would be willing to participate, please share this request on your social media.
In the interim, I am actively seeking a local senior-level strategy/program management/chief of staff/change agent role in a global financial services or technology company , but am also open to contract positions in consulting, technology and other relevant industries in the short term which leverage my skills and experience.
