Seed $: Maple Party Cancer Dinner
6:20 a.m., Monday Feb. 13, 2017 --Hi folks - just a quick SOS. It appears that unexpected regulatory fees and requirements are going to nibble away at our total, so we have raised the goal a bit to cover those expenses. We appreciate every penny donated to date, and pledge to put them to work to get our best gift possible to the American Cancer Society after the dinner on March 11, 4-9 p.m. We'll keep you posted. We are preparing for an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, a large buffet dinner that has been held each year since 1959 in the tiny town of Thurman NY. Our request here on Go Fund Me is for grocery money to feed those who buy tickets to the party, since the dinnerproceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society. Any unspent grocery money also will be given to the society.
The 58th consecutive Thurman Maple Sugar Party will be held March 11, 2017, at Thurman Town Hall, and we need your help to make it happen. The sumptuous buffet is crowned with dessert of old fashioned "jack wax," also known as "sugar on snow." Will you help?
Grocery shopping will begin very soon, and we must know our budget by February 23rd. Please help us help the American Cancer Society with grocery money for the Maple Sugar Party buffet dinner.
