Second Opinion from Boston Children's Hospital

Donation protected
Aiden's membrane ruptured when I was 15 weeks pregnant, and as a result, her lungs didn't develop as quick as they should have. She and Jordan were then born 11 weeks early, so her lungs were even more underdeveloped. She was immediately intubated and sent to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She stayed at Brookwood for 4 months before she was transferred to Children's of Alabama, where she stayed in the NICU until she aged out in October 2017. She spent another year in Pediatric ICU and the pulmonary unit before finally going home in September 2018 at almost 3 years old. Since being discharged for the first time, Aiden has been readmitted to Children's countless times and has not shown any improvement over the past 6 months.
Her diagnoses are bronchopulmonary dysplasia, chronic respiratory failure, cerebral palsy, and most recently, a seizure disorder. She has a trach, ventilator with oxygen, and a gastrointestinal tube.

Boston Children's Hospital's pulmonary division is ranked #4 in the country, and we have heard nothing but good things from others who have gotten second opinions. Sixty-eight percent of all second opinions from Boston result in some change in recommended treatment, a third of which are major changes. Insurance doesn't cover second opinions, and the cost of an online second opinion from Boston is $650. I want to give Aiden the best, and I feel like this second opinion could really benefit her. Any help would be so appreciated!
