Sean's New Heart
Sean Aquino suffers from heart failure and was admitted to Stanford Hospital on Monday, April 22 to undergo surgery for an IABP -- intra-aortic balloon pump -- which is a mechanical device that helps the heart pump blood, consisting of a long skinny balloon that controls the flow of blood through the aorta. Sean made it through this risky surgery and he is now in intensive care waiting for a heart transplant. Once the transplant takes place, Sean and Jahnelle will be required to stay in a house at Stanford for 3 months as he recovers.
At this point Jahnelle is driving to Stanford daily and trying to stay strong for their 3 children at home. The next few months are going to be very challenging mentally, physically and financially for the Aquino Family. They are in need of any financial support you would like to contribute.
