A few weeks back I was notified that my former co worker and friend Lindsey Glass had been arrested. The arrest stemmed from an incident that had taken place nearly two years ago.
On that day a regular of ours had gone to the bar. While there he had displayed some behaviors that were curious, but not completely befuddling in that he was an unusual character. He had a few beverages over the course of an hour or two when I was notified that he was acting bizarre. I headed up there having no idea how awful things were going to become.
Upon arriving I spoke to this patron, questioned him on many things including but not limited to where he was living, was he ok, and if he was having problems with his ex wife.
When I realized something was off I immediately called my called my owner, a manager, and finally one of the investors. Once on the phone with said investor the individual left and went to his ex wife’s home, armed heavily, and proceeded to open fire.
Though this has gotten national/world wide attention, a few things have been left out of the story.
Lindsey and I acted swiftly that evening based on nothing more than suspicion. Knowing that he lived west and headed east, we let intuition take hold and drove over and identified the house in order to give the police a place to go. Unfortunately, our efforts weren’t quick enough to save a number of individuals, a sadness that haunts us both to this day. The bar we worked for closed as a result of that night, news stations and reporters stopped contacting us, and an uninterrupted opportunity to heal finally surfaced. As soon as we thought we could move forward Lindsey was arrested, for serving this individual...
What happened that evening was a tragedy beyond comprehension, but I will till my dying day contend that it was planned, thoroughly, long before he ever stepped foot in the bar.
No one deserved what happened that night, from the victims to their families and friends. A loss like that is difficult to wrap your head around or even accept, and to each and every one of them my deepest/heartfelt condolences. Lord knows Lindsey and I have balled our eyes out on many an occasion over the loss.

*But its important to not forget Lindsey in all of this.

*That girl has had been through Hell and back- she’s had occupational opportunities withdrawn, her bank accounts depleted, credit cards maxed out, and a lifetime of sadness to deal with because a mad man snapped.
My goal is to help her with the attorney fees and fines that are associated with this baffling arrest. She’s already been broken, I can’t bare the thought of her being without a home or food as well.
It’s important to keep in mind that every dollar counts. The smallest of donations can grow into huge financial relief. The sacrifice of a Starbucks coffee can keep the girl fed. So Please, if you can, show some Love For Lindsey. Thank you in advance, any and everything means so much more than you know!
