Scott has been an extremely hardworking man since as long as I can remember. He has worked hard to provide for his family and himself, almost always at the sacrifice of his personal wellbeing. In the last year, Scott started to experience debilitating gastrointestinal upset that he attempted to work through and control through diet.
Scott started to be hospitilized frequently for this GI upset in September of 2017. From that time forth, he has not been able to work. He was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis, an excrutiatingly painful disorder in which the colon is inflamed and ulcerates. His was so bad, that they found a perforation, which caused blood and feces to leak into his abdominal cavity.
Due to this, Scott has severe malnutrition and was unable to absorb nutrients due to the inflammation and fear of eating due to pain. A man that stands at 6 feet tall and has always been lean but strong, now weighs in at a mere 130 lbs.
Scott had 95% of his colon removed on 12/07/2017. He just came out of an exploratory laparoscopy surgery today, 12/11/17 due to complications and concerns.
After speaking with the surgeon, it sounds like my dad has a great chance at recovery after this last surgery! However, it is going to be a very long road until he is able to work again. This is why I am reaching out to you fine folks for help! Any contribution to help cover bills, medical expenses, etc. is GREATLY appreciated by myself and my siblings. Even a dollar goes along way!
