Scott Herbert vs. Prostate Cancer

My baby brother, Scott Herbert, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer in an intermediate stage.  Together we met with his doctors, weighed the pros and cons of the suggested treatment options and decided removal of the prostate would be the best treatment.  Now, I don't want to say that cancer is the curse of the Herbert family but it sure seems that way.  Cancer was the primary or secondary cause for the deaths of Scott's wife, Penny, our parents, two brothers and a third brother who fought various forms of the disease until AIDS took his life.  Scott and I are all that remain from a family of 7.  It sucks.  It's tough, but we're all trying to remain positive.  We all want him around for a long time.  Scott will have his prostate removed in early May.  He's looking at about an 8-week work hiatus where short term disability will only cover part of his living expenses.  Add co-pays, deductibles and other medical expenses on top of that and well, he needs help from y'all.  We never thought we would have to ask our family, friends and others for help but this go around we must.  His congestive heart disease and COPD makes this all that more of a risk and I don't need him worrying about how he will pay his bills while healing and building his strength following the surgery.  Can you help?  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
