MY STORY
I am a clinical herbalist with a mission to help women come into their own power to heal.
MY Healing Motto is:
I NEVER turn anyone away who needs help and will always be available.
I was very first introduced to herbal medicine by my mother and grandmother's teachings. My mom Lucia is from Naples, Italy. She taught me as much as she could remember passed on by her mother, Elvira, about plants and energy medicine. Elvira's mother, my great grandmother Nona read tea leaves. Also, the Strega lineage is passed from my father's mother Mary who practiced herbalism and spiritual healing.
I started my path of healing as a young girl placing my hands on animals and giving them all different colors of light for their many ailments. My sisters and I (I am the middle of 5 children 4 girls 1 boy) would sit around the kitchen table practicing our psychic abilities. I crushed roses smeared them on my lips to stain them red. I slept with flowers under my pillow to induce dreams. I took baths with my mother's tea bags. Started carrot plants from their tops in egg cartons. And spoke to the spirits that visited me in the night. As I grew my gifts did as well,. I was channeling for my family and friends by the time I was 17 years old.
This has always been the path set before me, I was born to into this women's work and choose to follow it everyday.
This path had led me down many roads, always learning along the way. I followed my intuition to Colorado and now have a certificate in clinical herbalism and a graduate of the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies. I have studied under Dr. Gu Ding in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Shen Nong Center in Philadelphia, PA, and Mayan Traditional Healing Practices and Uterine Care with Ms. Beatrice Waight, Belize. Held an apprenticeship with Linda White Dove in herbal medicine; an apprenticeship with Claudia Rosewolf in traditional North American indigenous healing practices; and an apprenticeship with Pei Fen Yan in Chinese Medicine in Boulder, Colorado.
I have now been in practice for over 15 years, and prefer to grow or wildcraft most of the herbs used, as well as make my own tinctures, tea blends, glycerites, oils, and any other concoctions that are needed.
I believe that all medical modalities are life-long learning processes and that the more education one has increases the tools in one’s tool box. Along with a finely tuned sense of intuition I combines these healing techniques to create a unique protocol for my clients.
I concentrate on female reproductive EMBODIMENT health. My work attends to physical, psychological and spiritual issues, being that these systems are integrated and inseparable. I believe that caring for the reproductive system is one of the most important things that we can do, being that it is literally the gateway through which spirits are drawn from the ethers into this world. I feel that learning to accept and love oneself is a critical aspect of the healing path, and that paying attention to the subtle messages the body sends is a crucial part of supporting the body's natural dance back into balance. To do this, I feel we must take responsibility for our bodies and our health, and as a result we will find the healing we seek by bringing consciousness to our everyday thoughts, words and actions. Ultimately, my work is to help women to discover the medicine within, and help women achieve so through my practice as well as the classes and workshops that I teach.
There is now the opportunity to learn from another wise woman in a very different healing modality. I want to continue my forward progress as a healer to women, children, and my community.
The retreat I want to go to is called The Phoenix Transformation Rise and Shine Retreat. This retreat takes place in Kirkton Of Glenisla, Perthshire, Scotland, U.K.
This women is teaching other women how to truly give back to the community at large, our families and most importantly to ourselves.
