And the award goes to.... Many of you saw Scooby's debut on the big screen in the film "The #1 Fan" which was part of the Easterseals Film Challenge.  We are excited to share that out of 60 films and 150 eligible actors, Scooby is one of four up for the award of "Best Actor"!

The awards are being held in Los Angeles on May 10 (yes, that is very soon) and we would love to help Scooby and a family member get from Covington, Ohio to LA to attend in person, walk the Red Carpet and have an experience of a lifetime.

This would be an incredible opportunity for Scooby to not only be acknowledged for his amazing performance in the film but also for his inspirational performance in everyday life.  From his unwavering commitment to give 110% in all he does to his genuine care and concern for people is something we can all learn from.

I'd also like to mention how much work my brother (Brian) put into writing and directing this film.  When he told me the idea just a few short weeks before the contest it seemed almost impossible that everything could be aligned in order to pull the filming off, but he did it.  He had a vision of what the film could be and he went after it, but most importantly he wanted to highlight Scooby and the contribution he has been to not only our hometown, but to all those he's touched.

As you can imagine a trip to Los Angeles is no small endeavor and to that end I am hoping that the generosity of the people reading this can make this once in a lifetime trip a reality for Scooby.

Any donation and sharing of this page would be greatly appreciated.  If anyone would prefer to donate airline miles or has a place in the Los Angeles area for them to stay this would be incredibly helpful as well.

Thank you in advance for helping Scooby get to celebrate just how spectacular he is!

If you missed the film be sure to check it out here!

Last night was an exciting night for Scooby as he attended the awards for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge where he was up for "Best Actor". It was a night filled with media attention from being interview by the LA news to mentioned in Variety magazine.

Unfortunately, Scooby did not win the award but created lasting memories with so many incredible experiences. Scooby arrived safely back to the Dayton area on Friday night, just in time to attend Brian's comedy show at Wiley's Comedy Club. The festivities and acknowledgement for Scooby's amazing performance continued on stage during Brian's comedy set.

At the end of the show and on behalf of all of the GoFundMe supporters we awarded Scooby the award of "Best Person", an award not just anyone can receive. Scooby gave a heartfelt thank you speech recognizing his dad who has passed, his mom and of course to all of the kids who play for the Covington Buccs and allow him to live his life as the #1 Fan!

I know I've said it many times but again, thank you, we greatly appreciate all the support which has been received throughout this adventure. To get to help someone live a dream is truly amazing and you all have helped one very special man do just that!

Tonight is the big night! Scooby is looking sharp on the Red Carpet at the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge Awards. He is one of four up for the award of "Best Actor" out of 150. I am sure he is going to have a fantastic time, just like his entire trip. A big acknowledgement to Brian who put this film together in 48 hours and was in the top 10 out of 60 films, incredible job. This has been a fun adventure to watch and we are grateful for everyone who has made it possible!

The Covington Buccs #1 Fan (Scooby) was spotted in Hollywood, CA today! He has been seen on the famous Venice beach, in Beverly Hills and supposedly there is a stop planned to In & Out Burger - the best burgers around. Scooby is having a great time and it is because of your generosity!

Tomorrow night he hits the Red Carpet, so we will be sure to give you an update then.
