We are a group of passionate Film and TV students at Bath Spa University who are currently working on a 7-minute sci-fi, futuristic studio drama show. It will be formally filmed, in the studio, on 18th January after many rehearsals.
What will the funds be used for:
We will be using the money for borrowing the equipment for the filming, building the detective's office set, buying the props to create the futuristic world, paying for actors, etc. Any donations leftover will be donated to the Mind charity after we've finished filming and there isn't much time left now until we do!
Any person who donates will be credited at the end of the show and we will post our show online for every donor to watch!
This story happens in a futuristic world where society has been dominated by Artifical Intelligence in every aspect of life. However, even with the highly advanced technology, there are still a lot of stories and crimes hidden in every dark corner of society.

Story Synopsis:
Jess is a detective who has recently undergone a terrible tragedy. After losing her partner, Max, she was provided with Sally (an AI supervisor) by Sergeant Bakersfield, her superior. While working on a strange case with Sally, Jess and Sally discover that the body at the crime scene is not human. After discussing with Sally in the office, Jess finds out from the footage provided by Sally that the Sergeant Bakersfield might have something to do with the bizarre case...
Detective Jess:
She is a strong, talented detective who is haunted by the tragic loss of her partner Max. She is a flawed individual, as all the most relatable characters are, which comes from her humanity, something that she clings to desperately in a futuristic AI dominated world. Despite being considered grumpy and old-fashioned in her line of work, she strives for justice above all things, embodying a truly gritty and determined "cop" persona who is lost in the stereotype of an era long passed.
Artificial Intelligence Sally:
Despite only being a 10cm x 10cm cube, she makes up a fundamental part of the team. Being an AI connected to a global network of information, there was always the worry that she would make Jess's role obsolete. However, she lacks the savvy that Jess has developed and counteracts her immense intelligence with an equal amount of innocence, like a child genius. She is programmed as a cheeky, loving assistant; the total opposite of Jess. What brings them together is their mutual respect and desire for justice and the truth.
Sergeant Bakersfield: He is both Sally and Jess's direct supervisor. In the years that Jess has worked with him, he has earned her respect and been a harsh, but fair, member of the police department; the way he stepped in to keep her safe and stable during her time of mourning for her partner Max, especially. In Jess's lonely life, he has been almost a father figure to her.
