School funding matters

Donation protected
For My birthday I would love to give money to the school that has supported my son and myself in some very difficult times.
His school like many are not receiving funding needed in any area but the arts are seriously lacking and a forgotten about most of the time.
As many of you that know me know that my beautiful son has very low social and emotional development.  His days are filled with struggles, stress and pressure that a small child should not have to face.
This school has given so much support, (including a full time one to one for the past 3 years) to my son and all of it has been with no funding as mason has not yet been given an official diagnosis. This is an issue for many of the parents in this school.
I see many of my school parent friends struggle with the facts that many of their children are telling them they want to die all because of the stress they are feeling.
(From personal experience this is one of the hardest things you will ever hear!)
This is a case for so many children now! Awful right?!
I did some research during my degree in mental health about the positive impact musical and art activities has on children with social, emotional and mental health problems.
Children have difficulties expressing themselves like adults do and these activities help children express there difficult and negitive feeling is a positive way.
Unfortunately, a large portion of the children in the catchment area for this school are living in poverty. According to mental health.org.uk, children living in the lowest 20% income bracket are three times more likely to develop mental health problems.
Many studies and mental health help websites for children conclude that art and music have a positive impact on children with mental health issues.
The Arts on Prescription project revealed that participants showed a large decrease of many of the common mental health struggles. Including anxiety decreased  by 71%, depression decreased by 73%, overall well-being increased by 76% and social inclusion increased by 69%.
I know my son feels excluded from his classmates because he doesn’t know how to socialise the way a 9 year old would normally. He struggles with all of these things and art, cooking and music help him relieve this inner struggle he is feeling and I am thinking many of the other children would feel the same.
So please help me to raise money to help the kids local to myself and many of you.
This is will not be enough money to make a permanent impact on these children but it’s a start. All of us in this situation know how hard it is to get professional help and support so let’s start at the basics
Love to all of you parents and children out there experiencing these difficulties.
Please rememer that you are not alone. ❤️
