Scarlett & Nico Fire Recovery

Update: Thank you to everyone who has been sharing and has donated. We returned to our home today for the first time since the fire, which was shocking to say the least. Not many of our belongings are salvageable. While the fire only destroyed a portion of the house, it’s shocking how much damage the smoke has caused on every single thing, every wall stained black, every object covered in soot and grime if not melted, every surface stained, our bed and couch ruined, waiting to see if any of the electronic gear is fixable, all of our books and art burned or water damaged, luckily we were able to bring our clothes to a cleaner in Woodland Hills near the vet who had experience working on victims clothes from the Woolsey Fires and most of our clothes will be ok. It’s incredible if you saw our house that Luigi was able to survive this, we are so lucky. His vet bills will be just about covered, we are so unbelievably grateful because we never could have afforded it and he would have had to be put down. Now that we have taken care of him and hopefully he keeps progressing, we have to figure out where we are going to live. We literally moved into that house a month ago, our dream home. We were so so happy there. We would appreciate any help to find a 2 br house rental in a reasonable price range, which we know is hard in LA, but if we spread the word then maybe we can find something so we can get settled as soon as possible and start to rebuild our life.
