Today my boyfriend & I spent almost 4 hours at the vet with our little Wicket.
We found our little guy about two months ago wandering in the busy street outside of our apartment. He was tiny, too young to be away from his momma & scared. No one ever claimed him, so we took him in to be part of our family.
A couple days ago our little guy started feeling under the weather, so we brought him to the vet. We feared the worst, and we were right. He was diagnosed with Parvovirus.
The in-hospital treatment was going to be incredibly expensive and was unfortunately not an option for us. Instead we were able to get all the things we need to try treatment at home. Taking this route was still very expensive, and there is a good chance Wicket will continue to require treatment after this. If he needs hospitalization it could cost anywhere between $1800-$2200. We are both young artists and have very little money to spare, but our Wicket is the apple of our eye and we will do anything and everything we can to make sure he gets through this.
If you can donate even $10 it will be a great help. We just want our little guy to get better. He is such a love bug and far too young to find out if all dogs go to heaven.
