My Dream Come True

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Mario. I love volunteering, animals, photography, movies, dance, food, board games, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. I am a very open-minded person who loves meeting people from different places. I enjoy hearing stories of who they are, where they come from, and where they wish to go. With that being said, I would like to tell you more about my background and why I am seeking your help. Thank you in advance for even reading what I have to say. I appreciate it very much. Donation Request: $6,945 (this is for one semester)/$15,630 (this would be for both semesters and would be what I need to finish my degree). Any amount is helpful and 100% of donations will go towards schooling. I am the first in my family to graduate from high school and the first to attend college. I didn’t attend college until a year after high school because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to go to school for and I had to figure out how I was going to pay for it. Coming from the family I did, and not doing enough research beforehand I ended up relying solely on government aid and in 2011 I enrolled and spent two years at Central Michigan University before transferring to Grand Valley State University where I spent another two years. After my second year at Grand Valley I had to move back home because I couldn’t afford to continue school while working and paying rent for an apartment, utilities, and food. Moving back home allowed me to take classes part time and online. I did that for a semester and then I had the opportunity to travel abroad to China for a year and a half to study Chinese and volunteer teaching English. After returning in 2017 I found a job and learned I still had some government aid available and was able to take a semester worth of classes in spring of 2018. That was the end of my college education. In the spring of 2018 I was also able to see my younger brothers graduate from high school. This was one of the proudest moments of my life. It was in this moment that I realized I needed to continue moving forward with my education. I wanted to continue making them proud and proving to them that no matter where you come from or how rough your past is you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to and that barriers can be overcome. So here I am, 27 years old, trying to save and get back to school so I can finish my degree. My ultimate dream is to graduate from college, being the first in my family to do so and eventually becoming a business owner. Thank you for your contribution, it is greatly appreciated.
