Sayge Mason for Brain Balance

My son Sayge has been struggling his whole life with behavioral issues. Some of you know our story and the long struggle we have been on in getting him the help he needs. When Sayge was 2 we were told he had some issues transitioning and being "unsafe" with his friends in daycare. Over the next couple years we dealt with getting sent home, get kicked out of daycares, and constant looks and comments from others around us. We finally got Sayge an appointment to be evaluated. Unfortunately he was so uncooperative they couldnt finish the evaluation and told us they could only guess at his diagnosis. At that time he was diagnosed with Adhd, Defiance/Disruption Disorder and Receptive Language Disorder. At that time we started on our reluctant journey to put Sayge on Medication. Over the years we have dealt with multiple doctors and multiple medications. We have tried therapy and even family involved therapy. We had case management that came in the home and helped us with services and coping skills. Through all of this we have had multiple professionals comment on Sayges symptoms and how he shows signs of being on the spectrum. In kindergarten he was evaluated by an autism specialist. Unfortunately he had been out sick all week with a severe stomach bug and wasnt himself. The specialist had sat in on him previously before doing a one on one interview. The school district has 2 categories that you qualify for in order to receive special services and aide for your child. Sayge was put in the Disruptive Behavior category instead of the Autism category. He was put there for his "unsafe" behavior and severe tantrums. The specialist said that she sees the signs of autism but cannot give him that diagnosis because he has such disruptive behavior. I feel that he is not getting help with his frustrations and that is why he is so explosive. We recently made the choice to take him off the meds because they have no effect on his ability to control his emotions which is what we wanted help with. Sayge has been doing exactly the same off the meds as he was on it. My son is so sweet. He loves to help others. He loves being a big brother. He is so smart and passionate. He loves everything superheroes!! He can talk your ear off for hours about anything DC or Marvel. Unfortunately because of his struggles he spends most of his time in trouble and not getting to participate in class or fun activities at home. We've tried so many things and we recently found a Therapy program called Brain Balance. Its a specialized therapy program that is individualized to each child. They help children with everything from ADHD to the Autism Spectrum. They have the ability to properly diagnose Sayge and get him the help he needs to thrive.  The therapy costs roughly $7,000 for 12 weeks, 3 to 4 sessions a week. I believe this is my son's best chance at getting the help he needs. I am hoping to raise $1,500 to help towards getting him into this program. We do not have the resources to save up $7,000 anytime soon. Anything will help. Thank you
