UPDATE BABY SUMMER
You will all remember our beautiful Lion Heart baby Summer who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4 high risk at 11 months of age back in May 2016.
Summer has had a very tough journey but has been amazingly strong the whole way through. Summer has been through so much including 5 rounds of chemotherapy, 2 rounds of mega chemotherapy, many surgery including removal of the primary tumor in her abdomen, Stem cell rescue which is the same as a Bone Marrow transplant, 3 weeks of Radiation and thats to just to list a few.
Whilst Summer was having treatment the family struggled to keep accommodation in a unit that they had to rent to be close to Summer as the majority of her days were spent at PMH.
In March of 2017 Summer was in remission, this was the best news anyone could ever get. Our brave little girl had finally won her battle.
June 26th Summer turned 2 and her and the family had a birthday party at home to celebrate. Then on the 5th of August Summer's Mum and Grandma found a small lump in Summer's Groin, the following day it had doubled in size and took her straight to PMH and on Monday the 7th of August their world fell apart, it was confirmed her cancer is back with a vengence, Summer is now currently back at PMH having more
chemotherapy along with immunotherapy and pain management treatments.
This time the family has been told that it is terminal and the only option is to prolong her life and keep her comfortable. Summer is a fighter and she is very
brave but she needs support now more than ever. The family have a list of things they would love for Summer to experience while she still can (a bucket list).
We are doing everything in our power to make this time as easy as possible for for "our" Baby Summer. We shall be doing some fundraising to get donations to help and we are asking you if you can help or are interested in helping us to support Summer. We will be holding a massive party for Summer on Sunday the 17th of September in which we will sell tickets with all funds going to the family. We are looking at having bouncey castles, face painting, petting zoo, cakes, cupcakes, bubbles, and more all for baby Summer. We as an extended family thank you for helping Summer's final months the best they can be, plus ensure the family have funds in place for funeral arrangements
when that dreaded time comes...
