Saving the Monarchs in California

Donation protected
I am on my 3rd year of raising Monarch Butterflies which has been very successful! Charlene and I released over 100 last year with a goal of 200+ this year.

Monarch Caterpillars are ferocious eaters who only eat milkweed. A single caterpillar can devour one medium size plant which costs $10.
Despite my best efforts to regrow from last years chewed up remaining Milkweed plants, I have already spent close to $250 and now have about 25 Caterpillars and 8 Chrysalis.

I'm asking for donations to help rebuild my milkweed supply. Every donation of $10 allows the donor to name a butterfly. (We name them right before we release them as not all caterpillars make it to butterfly stage) I will make you a personal video of the butterfly with your name of choice and show it being released back into the wild. A nice gift for a loved one and anyone special.

Monarch butterflies have had a huge decline over the last couple of decades. Monarchs, as you know, are huge pollinators and viable part of the ecosystem. I hope not only to help the population, but encourage others to do the same by offering advice, experience and support to all Monarch enthusiasts!

I truly appreciate the support as I feel I'm looking at anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 to feed all these hungry months this year. It warms my heart to see them flying around the neighborhood.

Thank you for your support and following my butterfly escapades on Facebook!
