About Nez Rose

Nez Rose is a gray and white cat with a big pink nose. He was found abandoned outside in the cold winter months at 6 months old with his brother, Mikael. He and Mikael have lived with me since then and he is now eight years old.

Nez Rose is the sweetest and silliest little boy and can't get enough love from Mikael, me, or people who visit him.

Nez Rose is Sick.

On Thursday, March 23rd, Nez Rose seemed very uncomfortable. I brought him to the emergency vet where he was diagnosed with a urinary blockage. The procedure to unblock him would take three days and would cost up to $2,500.

Even though I am a poor student, I couldn't part with my friend, Nez, and so I dug deep into my savings. He began the procedure that night and was supposed to return home on Sunday.

Saturday morning the vet called me to say that things weren't great for Nez Rose and that another surgery is needed if it doesn't improve by Sunday. The surgery will cost another $2,500. It will ensure Nez Rose will get through this and will not have another blockage again. He will be able to live a long life with me and his brother Mikael.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford the surgery, and it breaks my heart to think of the alternative, euthanasia.

Mikael misses his brother a lot and doesn't know where he is. He spent all Friday night crying and being unable to stay still. I hope to bring Nez Rose home to reunite them soon.
