Saving Mankato: Helping Homeless

Recently, I learned a staggering statistic about homelessness in Mankato, MN. Over 300 youth and children are identified as homeless by the Mankato Public School System. This time of year, the average temperature in Mankato is 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
Young children and youth are the future of our great nation. I cannot stand to listen to these facts. Hello, my name is Rachel Hoehn and I am a recent graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Several weeks before graduation, a colleague of mine through the Community Engagement Office at MNSU shared these facts with me, and I was shocked.
I am asking for your help. I have been in contact with several sources to help me start this campaign; including the Mankato school system, MNSU Community Engagement Office, and the REACH - a organization in Mankato that helps homeless youth.

My goal is to fundraise $1000 for the REACH . All proceeds will be used to help give these children warm clothing, food, and money to live. The REACH is an amazing organization that assists youth in having basic necessities, support and education, and FUN. Since this is the season of giving, I figure... what a better way to give back? :)
Never underestimate the value of a dollar. Even donating $1-2 would contribute to the cause. And if you can't contribute money, please consider sharing this campaign so that someone you may know, does.
