Saving Lassen County CA Wildlife

$1,675 of $30,000 goal

Lassen County California Wildlife Rescue, Transport, Rehabilitation and Release Fund.

Wildlife in need of immediate emergency care in our county and surrounding areas have to be transported out of our area since we do not have a wildlife veterinarian or a rehabilitation facility here. These transports involve driving hundreds of miles to Reno Nevada, Carson City Nevada, Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, Chico, Red Bluff, Loomis and Anderson, just to name a few locations. Wildlife emergency calls come in on a daily basis.
I, Peggy Speer, am seeking much needed donations that are needed to help our injured and abandoned wildlife so they can get the care they require. There are no government agencies such as Fish and Game Wildlife Services that pay fuel costs for transporting our wildlife, unfortunately.
I am actively pursuing donations for fuel costs for transportation, to purchase a large reliable AWD vehicle that can carry many wildlife crates and carriers and safely get us through snow in the winter months, and to  someday build our own wildlife rehabilitation facility with a licensed wildlife veterinarian in our area.
With donations we will have fuel costs that will bring in more volunteers, which in turn will save many more hawks, eagles, fawns, beavers, squirrels, foxes, falcons, owls, etc...
Rescuing and transporting wildlife is very costly and time consuming, but the rewards and joy are immense once you pick up your prior injured or abandoned wildlife, fully recovered,  that can be released BACK to their "home", our beautiful community.
Thank you for your generous donation that will allow us to save our wildlife.

DESPERATE NEED.... Daily emergency transport is needed for injured or abandoned wildlife in our area. This entails hundreds of miles to various locations ; medical treatment to my wildlife veterinarian in Reno , NV, rehabilitation facilities and wildlife sanctuaries. The cost of gas is costly for these transports. Please donate and share so we can still continue to help the injured wildlife in our area. This is their only hope for survival. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
