Saving Miss Daisy Fundraiser
Donation protected

Meet Miss Daisy! Daisy didn't have the best start at life. She was dumped in front of a Publix as a tiny puppy due to inbreeding that unfortunately resulted in a spinal deformity. This deformity caused her to be urinary and fecal incontinent. She was turned into the local shelter where she was adopted and then returned because of her neurological issue. French Bulldogs that are not bred properly or subjected to inbreeding are often born with spinal deformities that cause a host of problems that often lead to euthanasia.
That's where I came in. I'm a vet student hoping to one day work as a shelter veterinarian. I am a sucker for what many think are "lost causes" and can see past the imperfections and work to bring out the beauty I see within. Having met Daisy, I just couldn't turn my back on her. Despite the rough start at life, Daisy is full of joy and love. She has not let her physical issues limit her and is like any puppy: happy and curious about the world. She has a fighting spirit and so despite her negative prognosis I am determined to fight with her and give her a shot at the full life she deserves. So our first battle involves raising money for an MRI and neurological work up to see the extent and nature of her spinal deformity. With some luck and medical intervention we can fight with Daisy to give her the best quality of life possible!
All of the money raised will go towards her care and treatment: Neurological work-up at UF Small Animal Hospital, MRI, and UTI medications.
