Saving Cory’s voice

My husband Cory has had a long battle with his health! He was a Marine and was medically discharged with seizures. He has lived with seizures for 22 years. His condition has gotten worse in the last couple of years. Now his nervous system is failing.He has not been able to speak for a year and 4 months. He also has trigemial neurolgial.This face pain is so painfulwe have to the ER 5 times in the last 2 months.The VA will not do what’s needed to improve Cory’s life.They gave him one shot of buvacaine.It didn’t last long.So we have been using our own money we don’t have for these shots so he has pain relief consistently. He got a shot Friday and they put some of it in his throat. By some miracle he was able to talk.It was emotional for all of us. My daughter Mady started to cry when we he heard his voice.The doctor said his voice will go away again because of his nerves failing.The doctor is willing to do a procedure that will coat Cory’s nerves in his throat with fat cells so he will be able to talk longer.This procedure will cost up to 6,000 dollars.It has been so lonely and hard for Cory not to be able to talk. The thought of him losing his voice again is more than he can bare. He has so many things in his body failing.Having a voice again has given him some hope.Cory is the strongest person I know.He hasn’t given up despite his issues.
