Saving Cheesey Boy

Tonight we took our loving boy, Cheese, to the vet. At 8 am he started throwing up, we figured it was only a bug, by 6 pm he was throwing up blood, and screeching in pain. He wasn’t able to get up, and just laid down and looked at us for help. We rushed him into our vet as soon as we could. For anyone who knows our cheesey boy, he’s a loud mouth and super energetic but he didn’t even move in the kennel or make a peep. They told us he needed x-rays and an ultrasound to see further what could have caused it, and some injections since he couldn’t take medicine because it wouldn’t stay down. When they called us back in, they had his stomach on a screen and informed us he would need an emergency surgery. He has a foreign body in his belly, that looks like a string or long object that’s causing the bloody vomit. They said they hoped it hadn’t already moved into his intestines or further, but that they wouldn’t know until they began with the surgery. They said it was a life or death situation, and that if we left it was only going to get worse before it got better. We OF COURSE said yes to whatever could to save our little boy, and they informed us that the surgery alone would be around $800, not including exam, overnight stays and medications. We don’t have this money at the moment, nor do we have a savings set aside and since the baby is due to come in 2 weeks, we would like to avoid taking out as much of a loan as possible. The vet also doesn’t allow payment plans, or any veterinarian credit cards so we’re wven more stumped rushing to get the money up by Friday.  We hate to ask for money but, we would do anything in the world for Cheese. He’s the sweetest, most loving chunk in the entire planet and my heart breaks for him because I know he’s so terrified there without us.
