Saving Bonfire's eye

One of our wonderful school ponies at Montanova Stables Foundation is in need of sponsors! Vets at Keswick Equine Clinic have identified a bacterial and fungal infection that is continuing to spread in her left eye. Bonfire will need surgery this weekend to help fight off the infections and save her eye. The surgery is called a keratectomy with a conjunctival graft, and the preforming surgeon has an 85% success rate in situations like this.

Anyone who has met Bonfire will tell you that there are few ponies as honest and tolerant as she is. We are so blessed to have her in our program. She will take quiet gentle care of the most timid rider, and still canter a perfect course for our more experienced students. She is truly irreplaceable and has earned a very special place in the hearts of many. Bonfire does not ask for much, but she gives everything. Now it is our turn to be there for her.
