Hello,  my name is Lluvia Rosa Vela as some of you may know

i moved to Chicago to help my grandmother who was very sick

about 8 months after moving here she passed away

and left the apartment building to my mother Tchiya El Maat  since then sevreal people have tried to steal the building from us

believe it or not you can steal an entire apartment building on top of dealing with squatters and the building just plain falling apart we've had allot of set backs trying to remodel it piece by piece

the building is on the south side of chicago i am the 4th generation to live in the building there are 6 units and one tenant has lived here for over 15yrs

our plan is to turn it into a safe house for women/families/healers in seek of a place to stay while they "figure it out" we'd like to put a garden on the roof and install solar powered pannels on top of the garage

we want to put bikes in the basement so people can bike for energy with a dance studio and a fully equipped laundry room for all the tenants to have access to

but before we can do that we have to raise 9,000 dollars because a big managment company who has been buying all the buildings in the neighborhood has been paying our taxes and filing complaints against our building for not being up to code all the time

we are really trying to provide a comfortable living space for the tennants who DO pay rent

but its really hard everyone who has said they could help us ends up setting us back hundreds of dollars we dont have did i mention by the time winter comes we most likely wont have any heat cause the boiler is 25yrs old?

needless to say we need help.

any donation helps

thank you for your time.

The Ancestors are with us! We were granted an extension! The Champion of the Day: Mary Ann Wallace! She was there to support Via! She has lived there since 1990, the year Lluvia was born! She lived there as a teen wuth her parents when I was born and she took care of ne as a newborn baby while Mom went back to work...
We are so grateful for her and all of the wondderful tenants that have lived there. Nott ALL bad!

Speaking of bad tenants, the evicted idiot that called building inspector onnis showed up with her children!!! Lol!!!

In todays news the tennant on the 3rd floor is 4 months behind on rent and recently called the news to come look at the horrible conditions she "has to live in" due to the roof flying off during a storm mind you we said she could move out no questions asked since we know its not suitable for children and she basically said she didnt want to move cause she doesnt have anywhere to go in doing all of this the city assumed we werent doing anything to fix the problem and tried to shut the entire building down forcing everyone out while i was at a studio session luckily i spoke to them in time and we wont have to leave our homes .. trying to remain calm lets all pray this roof is fixed asap and she moves out even sooner....
