Save the Lion in Baghdad

We are a group of members of the dutch MoD. Recently, we stumbled upon a lion in the middle of the city center in Baghdad.
This is why we have someone in Holland that works for the foundation that helps us raising the money with the account name named above, deu to safety reasons we cannot setup our personal account, we will also at the account of Stichting Leeuw in the Netherlands so that all the money raised is going directly to the Non profit organisation.
The lion is 1.5 years old and stays in HORRIBLE conditions. The cage is too small, the lion is stressed, malnourished and he is surrounded by loud dogs, baboons and cats. The lion currently stays in a animal shelter on a busy street where many cars are passing by and the lion is not taken good care of. He does not receive enough food and is traumatized by his environment. When we visited the lion, he was scared by all the noise and sat in the corner of his little cage.
Our plan is to ultimately set the lion FREE!
We want to save the lion and send him to the 'Stichting Leeuw' foundation in the Netherlands, a lion foundation that aims to ensure a future in the wild to all rescues big cats.
For this goal, we urgently need +- EUR 8.000: for the lions transport, housing, medical care and 2.000 for nutrition. We have made a deal with our transportation partner who will take care of the (expensive!) transportation and logistics!
All extra money we might raise will 100% fund the Stichting Leeuw foundation and all its programs. We also want to raise awareness for the animal cruelty in this part of the world.
