Relocation of Patterson Scout Hut

That's me, the goofy looking teen, second row, third from right. There in Philmont Scout Ranch in NM, with several of my scouting buddies.

Our home of more than 50 years (the 3rd oldest such building in the country), "The Hut", has fallen victim to Eminent domain, and our troop is being forced to relocate.

The good news is, a proximate site has been procured and according to the engineers, a move of our treasured home is possible, thanks to the hard work of my former Scoutmaster, George Williams, and his ever-comitted wife, Mrs. Sue.

A cost proposal of roughly $40,000 has been estimated, to cover costs of purchasing and preparing the new site, clearing a path, building preparation, moving, and resecuring the building at the new location. Some of these funds have already been secured, but we need wide support to cover remaining costs.
