Levi Davis Health Fund (On Hold)
Hey there! Some of you may know me as a friend, or a Craftsman. Some of you may have no idea who I am. I am going to attempt to concisely make clear who I am, what I do, and why I need help.
My name is Levi Davis. I have been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder. I also struggle with severe seasonal depression, and social anxiety. Despite this, I have managed to become passable at a wide variety of woodworking methods, as well as being a professional welder, geek, and amature blacksmith.
I have friends.
I have a life.
At one point, these were things I thought I'd never have, though, and if I hadn't learned to ask for and accept help when I was well and truly stuck, I'd never have gotten even that far.
That's what this GoFundMe is for. Asking for help.
Already, without the initial donations of those who set this up before passing it to me, and the people who donated when it was first set up, we wouldn't have had grocery money for the two weeks following that.
"What? But Levi, you make all these cool things! You sell them, and do work for charities, and are usually talking about all kinds of projects or work you have planned! What on earth happened?"
I'm having health problems. Bad ones. My digestion regularily fails to break things down past chime, and has been for some time. I have been regularily vomiting fresh blood for over a year, and recently started vomiting yellow bile. Some of the other symptoms and problems have existed much longer than that. Seeing as how there studies linking GI issues to Aspergers Syndrome (a section of the high-functioning Autism Spectrum) it may even be genetic. Both my brothers and my Dad have similair, though FAR less extreme issues.
I am not going to get into extreme detail of the lengths I've gone to try to stay healthy, or how many other diabilitating symptoms I have. That isn't the purpose of this GoFundMe. It became obvious enough to the people close to me that things were bad, that they felt the need to directly confront me and demand I seek out professional help. I will say that I'm currently unable to keep any kind of regular work schedule, even at home, and that we've almost tried to crash the ER twice, despite being broke. I pulled though, and now I'm currently applying for pretty much anything I can to get some sort of financial or medical help.
This GoFundMe, is something I'm going to post updates to as I make progress, and the funds donated here will be used in majority to suppliment my lack of income while I seek this aid.
If by some miracle it raises enough to be helpful medically, I will withdraw money for specific expenses, and post an update explaining them, and why they are needed.
I want to be as up-front and honest about all of this as I can, and I also want to be as appreciative as I can.
If it weren't for the fact that a Kickstarter were too complex for me to set up and manage right now, we've be using that, with handmade rewards to thank/compensate people in the future. Depending on how much attention this gets, I may still do that once I have more energy.
In conclusion, thank you all so much for what you've done already. Please, even if you can only spare a $5 or a share, try to help this gain some ground.

This GoFundMe is oficially on hold until my brother Josiah Davis has the support he needs to get to shelter. I am in a safe place I can make my own, and he is not.
