Save Gus

Gus grew up with dogs and is beloved by most of the neighborhood people and pets alike. We tried to keep him in the house at night and he was usually content to relax with his family in the evenings and sleep in his room until after sunrise. On Friday 01/13/2017, Gus must have gotten out with the dogs and hopped the fence to go visiting. He came across three coyotes who were just neighborhood dogs to him -  until they attacked him. He fought a good fight and with the help of a neighbor he escaped the jaws of the biggest coyote. We rushed him to the vet and he escaped internal injuries but alas his jaw was broken in the attack. He needs specialty surgery to repair his mouth and sadly without it he can't survive. The surgery is $6500.00. We paid 500 of the cost for the consultation, antibiotics and pain meds and took Gus home to recoup for the night in his home while we tried to figure out how to save him. One of my neighbors suggested this Go Fund Me page so we're giving it a shot.
Please help us save Gus. He is only 18 months old but he has brought smiles and comfort to so many people in his short life.
