Grandpa’s Spindle-Cell Tumor Surgery
Donation protected
Our sweet English bulldog had what seemed to be a regular mast cell tumor removed on may 20th 2018, but the results came back that It was an aggressive form of spindle cell cancer. Carefully monitoring his stitches so he can go back and be the playful fella he is, we noticed that just 3 weeks later it started to come back. It’s now bigger than 2 cherries, and bleeding. After multiple doctors and oncologist visits later - we have the option to surgically remove his tumor on the roof of his mouth which will keep him alive, happy, and healthy for a few years. The estimated cost of his challenging surgery ( sss below ) is an estimated $9000 and the cost of his X-rays and other tests and anesthesia are an estimated over $4k. These tests need to be done in order to make sure this is just not the tip of the iceberg but surgery over radiation and chemo seems promising. I regret that I don’t have the means to cover all the costs myself and I am humbled.
There is no known cause for spindle cell cancer, and I don’t know what else to do. Anything helps to keep this joy maker alive and well, thank you for reading ❤️
