Andrew's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Andrew is a Chemical Engineering student at the University of North Dakota. He was just recently diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy, which is an autoimmune disorder that causes kidney disease.

In September, Andrew learned his kidneys are almost pure scar tissue; his kidneys were operating with 6% functionality. He was hospitalized for two weeks while doctors ran tests and tracked vitals.

After he was released from the hospital, Andrew moved to the Twin Cities to begin to work with the U of M to get on the donor list for a new kidney. He left behind his apartment, his job and his family.

Currently, Andrew is living in a suburb of St. Paul, attending dialysis 3 times per week. He has a job at Target, but it is a massive paycut from what he was making while living in North Dakota. He is begining to recieve his medical bills which are outrageously high. Andrew  is currently keeping up with his bills, but adding medical bills on top of all of his living expenses will cause him to fall into financial troubles.

To help Andrew out, I have made a goal of 10,000 dollars. This should cover some medical expenses this year, and next Spring when he hopefully recieves a new kidney. His dialysis appointments alone are close to $ 1,700 (after insurance) per visit. He isn't one to ask for help when situations get tough, but his family is worried about his future. His medical debt, along with school debt may hinder future opprotunities.

All money donated will be used specifically for medical bills.

During this difficult time, Andrew and his family members would be incredibly grateful for generous donations, to help ease the financial stress associated with Andrew's disease. Any amount helps and would be greatly appreciated, along with positive vibes. :)

Thank you all so much for reading and taking an interest. Andrew is an amazing person and a fighter. He will get through this!
