Save a Kenyan family

These lovely guys you see at the picture above are a friends of mine from Tiwi Village in Sount Eastern Kenya me and my wife are visiting regularly each holiday.We met Mohamed for the first time  in 2016 as a tour guide and quickly became friends, kept in touch  the entire year and revisited back in  August 2017.


Mohamed is a highly educated person who speaks 5 (!!!) languages fluently and works at the beach as a salesperson selling trips and safaris to tourists.  As a result of his hard work Mohamed built a house on his own and with some help of us is able to send his children to school regularly.



Mohamed is a true fighter and doesn't spare any effort to get his children a better future. However, due to the poor economic (low salaries)  and political (tribalism and corruption)  situaion in his country he is not able to survive the entire year as his job is comission based and he only earns the money in the high season.

This year we were curious to find out what is the missing element that would make the family benefit from a regular income. As a business orientated person Mohamed told us having the electricity and water pump would enable him to run a sustainable bussines by running a plantation and providing the services to other villagers (only 10 out of 1000 of them have the electricity at the moment!!!)


As a result we're raising funds to help these guys get an electricity and water pump which would enable them to have a regular income and live a better life. We're aiming to do that before the high season finishes (end of September) so they don't struggle anymore.

The electricity connection fee is a horrendous USD1000 (which is more than an average Kenyan earns a year) and the water pump costs further USD500. The amount given in GBP is supposed to cover this and GoFundMe provisions/costs.

Please help us getting this sorted before the high season finishes! Any help will be highly appreciated and we will personally make sure the money reaches Mohamed directly. We will post the pictures as the works progress and submit a thank you video once done. Thank you!
